Goodbye, Hello, Inbetween

Every goodbye is heartbreak. Every hello

is celebration. The endless hours between

are excruciating. My days are now divided

between what is lost and what is found.

What is joy and what is grief.

What is now and what is not.

This reminds me of this line from a poem: "Searching for God is the first thing and the last,
but in between such trouble, and such pain."

This poem seems a fine way to end the mushroom festival.

You're funny, Fred. This excerpt seems fitting for, well, just about everything. : )
